Sassa Nordström (1961) is a Swedish artist living and working part time in Vietnam. She is a self-thought artist and describes her art process to be intuitive. Sassa started painting late in life and had her first exhibition in 2008. After that she has had exhibitions both in Sweden and abroad. Her work is mainly figurative, painting the human subject as a vessel for longing, hope, for strength and fragility. She likes to take the viewers to a place where contemplation and reflection of the human psyche transpires. Her work is often described as sensitive and emotional. She works mainly in acrylic on canvas and adds collage work, gold thread and metal gold to her work.
