Impermanence is a new body of work that explores the transient nature of existence. In these works, thick accretions of paint are a metaphor for the passing of time, changing seasons, and our changing memory and physicality. More Like memories than digital snapshots, They seek to find the essence more than the appearance of things. The paint moves in and out of the frame like a living organism continuously changing. In these paintings, there is an attempt to signify something alive and changing, something impermanent.
