About Galleri Ramfjord
Galleri Ramfjord was founded in 1998 by Elisabeth Ramfjord.
Galleri Ramfjord is an independent gallery venue, centrally located in Oslo, Norway. The gallery was founded to champion newcomers and emerging artists. Today, the gallery presents a combination of both emerging and well-established artists, developing and redefining the contemporary figurative art scene. While the gallery has an excess of oil paintings, there is also a wide range of drawings, photography, sculpture and installation on display. Galleri Ramfjord aspires to make art available for a wider audience through frequent exhibitions, art fairs and a large showroom on site, which can easily be accessed online.
Galleri Ramfjord has since 2013 had increasing success on the international art scene, collaborating with collaboration projects in New York, Portland, Chicago, Copenhagen and Amsterdam. Ramfjord has participated on the international art fair circuit, with great success at SCOPE Miami, New York and Basel and VOLTA Basel and New York.
The gallery has twice opened Pop Up exhibitions in New York City, aiming to introduce Nordic art to a wider international art scene. In August 2022, the gallery had a Pop Up at the LES in Manhattan, showing a variety of its represented artists. In August 2024, the gallery curated a Pop Up in collaboration with ESKFF at MANA Contemporary Museum in Jersey City.
Elisabeth Ramfjord, started her collaboration with ESKFF in 2015 when she was asked to curate an exhibition at MANA. The collaboration blossomed into an artist in residency program, securing 7-8 artist-in-residence spaces for her represented artists from 2015 until recently. Elisabeth is currently on the Board of Directors at ESKFF – a New Jersey based channel for connecting artists, curators, collectors, galleries, cultural institutions, and the public through exhibitions and programming based on private contemporary art collections.
