Description
In this work, Söderström used a modified pantograph to simultaneously produce two identical drawings at different scales. He borrowed the title from the chorus of a song by the Swedish prog band Blå Tåget—“One hand knows what the other is doing.” In a capitalist society, the state and capital are two sides of the same coin. This is not a question of copy and original. There is neither a puppeteer nor a master plan; rather, they interact and subtly guide one another toward a shared goal.
