Ingebjørg Støyva was born in Bergen, Norway 1978.

She grew up in a small village by the Sognefjord, with her father, brother and grandmother. She was in her early teens when she found her interest in Art, and a love for colors. She found joy in wondering how much of each primary color there were in everything around her. The sky, mountains, or in face hit by light or shadow. Her painting gave her other ways to tell stories, and to communicate without using the spoken word. This continuessly follows her and in her work the seek to employ illustrative techniques in means to express the subtle. You can call her a narrative painter – The act of suggesting, rather than stating, a mood or a story. Her own hope is that the elements in her work are somehow emotionally recognisable…

Ingebjørg had her first solo show at Galleri Ramfjord in 2015 and since then she has been exhibiting with the gallery at art fairs and collaborations like ART COPENHAGEN, SCOPE Miami, SCOPE Basel, Vertical Gallery Chicago, House of Arts Salzburg etc…

Her paintings are part of several private and public collections such as the Bennett Collection in the US.
